smexcal is built on a simple premise: we collect the absolute minimum needed for the app to work, and nothing else. No email. No phone. No real name. This policy explains exactly what we do collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.
smexcal is a personal wellness tracking tool only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

1. Who we are
smexcal ("we", "us", "our") is a sexual wellness tracking application. The app is operated by an independent developer. For questions about this policy, contact us at reachus@smexcal.com.
2. Data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the core features of the app:
2.1 Account data
- Username - a pseudonym you choose. It does not need to be your real name and we strongly recommend it is not.
- Password - stored securely. We cannot read or recover it.
- Account creation date
2.2 Session data
- A server-side session token stored with automatic expiry (TTL). It is used to keep you logged in and is not linked to any personal identity.
2.3 IP addresses
- We may log IP addresses for the purposes of rate-limiting and spam/abuse prevention. IP addresses are not stored long-term, are not linked to your activity data, and are never used to identify you personally.
2.4 Support correspondence
- If you contact us by email, we receive and retain your email address solely to respond to your request. We do not store it beyond what is needed to handle your enquiry. We do not link it to your app account.
2.5 Activity data you voluntarily log
When you log an activity, you may provide details such as the date, time of day, duration, activity type, mood, and personal notes. All fields are optional beyond the minimum required to save an entry. This data is associated with your pseudonymous username, not with any real-world identity.
2.6 Partner connection data
If you choose to connect with a partner:
- A shared identifier linking your two accounts
- Shared session records - indicating a session occurred, the date, and which activities were logged
3. Data we never collect
The app never collects your email. We have no email for your account - there is no account recovery, by design. The only exception is if you email us directly for support (see section 2.4).
Not collected, not verified, not optional.
Your username is a pseudonym. We have no way to tie it to a real person.
The app does not request or collect GPS or precise location data.
No advertising ID, IDFA, GAID, or device fingerprint is collected.
The app never requests access to your camera, microphone, photos, or files.
We do not integrate with Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect.
4. How we use your data
We use the data you provide solely to operate smexcal:
- To authenticate you and maintain your session
- To store and display your activity logs on your calendar
- To generate personal insights (frequency, time of day, orgasm rate, etc.)
- To synchronise shared partner sessions when both users have connected accounts
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
5. Partner-connected accounts
If you choose to connect with a partner:
- Both of you log independently from your own devices.
- Shared session records show that a session occurred and the general activity types - both users must log for a session to be "complete".
- Private notes are never visible to your partner. What's yours stays yours.
- The "with whom" nickname on solo or personal sessions is never shared with your partner or anyone else.
- Your partner's username is the only identifier shared between connected accounts - no other personal data crosses accounts.
- Disconnecting a partner preserves your own historical data but removes the shared link. Past shared sessions are no longer reflected on either user's partner tab.
6. Data storage and security
- Your data is stored securely on AWS (Amazon Web Services).
- All data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored in a way that makes them unreadable - we genuinely cannot see yours.
- No one on our end can browse through your activity records.
7. Third parties
We use AWS to host the app and store your data. That's our only external provider. Your data lives on their infrastructure but is only accessible to smexcal.
We do not use:
- Analytics or tracking tools
- Advertising networks
- Social login providers
- Any data brokers or data-sharing services
8. Your rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at reachus@smexcal.com with your username. Because accounts are pseudonymous, your username is the only way we can locate your data - there is no email or phone to cross-reference.
9. Data retention
- Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- If you delete your account, all associated activity data, partner connections, and session records are permanently deleted within 30 days.
- There is no way to recover a deleted account. Given our anonymous design, we have no way to verify ownership after deletion.
10. Children
smexcal is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at reachus@smexcal.com and we will delete the account promptly.
11. Health disclaimer
smexcal is a personal wellness tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. The information logged in the app is for your personal awareness only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
